Andy O'Brien is chief financial officer and executive vice president, Strategy and Commercial. Effective Sept. 1, 2026, he will become president and chief executive officer. In this capacity, he oversees the teams responsible for finance, corporate planning, business development, commercial, sustainable development and low carbon technology.
O’Brien began his career with Conoco in 1997 and held numerous finance, planning and strategy roles of increasing responsibility across the globe before becoming a member of the company’s executive leadership team in 2022. Since then, he has served in leadership roles overseeing the company’s Alaska and international businesses, commercial, LNG, finance, corporate strategy, Investor Relations and mergers and acquisitions.
Andy serves on the board of directors of Spindletop Community Impact Partners, Inc.
Andy is a chartered management accountant and graduated from the University of Plymouth in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
