Rebecca is currently a math instructional coach at Pomona Elementary in Alvin ISD. She graduated from the University of Houston - Clear Lake (UHCL) with a Bachelor of Psychology and a master’s degree in educational management. Rebecca recently obtained her Principal Certification through the University of Texas at Arlington.

Rebecca has been a teacher for 16 years, and 15 of those years have been dedicated to teaching math. As the math instructional coach, Rebecca was integral in demonstrating strong first line math instruction by assisting teachers in creating engaging math lessons and leading professional development. She has been involved in multiple leadership positions on campus to ensure that quality, engaging first line instruction is at the forefront. Rebecca's belief that "all students can learn and be successful" has driven those around her and positively impacted other educators. Her teaching style and out of the box thinking has made a powerful impact on her students. Former students remember relevant experiences taught in her classroom and recall how they didn't "get math" until being in her class. Outside of positively impacting her students, Rebecca volunteers to coach a variety of clubs to allow students to take part in student activities.
