Zandro Molito is currently an eighth grade Math and Algebra 1 teacher at Plummer Middle School in Houston, Texas. He began his teaching career in 2015, teaching math to fourth through eighth grade students at St. Joseph Catholic School in Edinburg, Texas, for two years before joining Aldine ISD in 2017. Born and raised in the Philippines, Zandro earned a degree in Electrical Engineering and later obtained his teaching certificate through the Alternative Certification Program in Texas.

Zandro’s commitment to building a positive, caring classroom culture and celebrating student success has made a significant impact and consistently delivered outstanding results. From 2022 to 2024, 100% of his students met the “Approaches Grade Level” standard on the STAAR Algebra 1 End-of-Course (EOC) exam. In 2024, his Algebra 1 EOC results included 100% “Meets Grade Level” and 91% “Masters Grade Level,” with a remarkable 95.8% student growth score. Zandro fosters a supportive classroom environment for learners with diverse abilities and maintains consistent communication with parents to update them on student progress.

Zandro was named the 2020-2021 Campus Teacher of the Year and was awarded the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Designated Master Teacher designation by the Texas Education Agency in May 2024. This recognition reflects his ability to meet both the academic and emotional needs of his students.
