Angelita Glazar is a mathematics teacher at Peet Junior High School in Conroe ISD with 14 years of experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University–Kingsville and a master’s degree in education from Sam Houston State University.
Angelita creates engaging, rigorous learning environments that build student confidence and deepen mathematical understanding. She designs and publishes her own instructional materials and places a strong emphasis on mathematical vocabulary, critical thinking and collaborative problem solving. Her classroom blends traditional and innovative strategies, including error analysis, hands-on exploration, immersive activities such as escape rooms and vocabulary games, and a custom video game she helped develop to reinforce understanding of the coordinate plane.
Beyond the classroom, Angelita has served as an athletics coach, Student Council sponsor, Destination Imagination team sponsor and UIL math coach. She currently serves as department chair and team lead, supporting instructional alignment and mentoring colleagues, and she serves on the district’s High Quality Instructional Review Committee.
Angelita received the Conroe ISD Educator Achieving Excellence Award in 2017 and volunteers with a local charitable organization. Her work reflects a deep commitment to her students, her school community and the SPIRIT values of integrity, respect, innovation and teamwork.
