HSE management system

ConocoPhillips sets and tracks annual HSE objectives and reports progress to executive leadership and the board.

Corporate and BU audits verify conformance with company standards and legal requirements, with corrective actions tracked and reported to ensure timely closure. The ConocoPhillips HSE Management System Standard is aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 and ensures each BU maintains a local system to manage regulatory requirements and operational risks. BUs and functions review and update their systems annually, integrate HSE and sustainability into day-to-day decisions, and use performance data to reduce risk and improve HSE results.

In 2025, ConocoPhillips began efforts to expand the sound management principles found in our HSE Management System Standard across core operational functions, developing and beginning the rollout of its new Operations Management System.
