DICKINSON, N.D. – ConocoPhillips announced the presentation of $270,500 in charitable grants to 14 organizations across North Dakota. The grants will support specific projects or purchases that will help each organization achieve its mission.

“As we deliver on our commitment to responsibly provide energy, we also strive to be an active and valued member of the communities in which we live and operate,” said Peter Bazin, Williston operations and maintenance superintendent. “We believe the most effective philanthropic investments are made through strategic relationships with organizations dedicated to serving our communities, and we proudly support their work to improve the quality of life for North Dakotans.”

This year’s recipients include local first responders, healthcare facilities, schools, and civic and environmental organizations. The largest of these donations was a $100,000 grant to the North Dakota Natural Resources Trust. The Trust will work through the Prairie Pothole Joint Venture to encourage conservation groups to develop a focused grassland conservation program to stabilize or reverse declining bird populations across the Great Plains from Canada to Mexico. Other large grants include $50,000 to the Dickinson Area Community Foundation and $30,000 to the McKenzie County Healthcare System.
