Reservoir Engineering
ConocoPhillips reservoir engineers research and evaluate underground oil and gas reserves to determine the most efficient means of extracting energy resources.
These men and women typically work on site at an established well or a new drilling project, analyzing schematics and compounding scientific data to determine how much oil and gas is present, the shape and size of the reservoir and where to drill production wells. It requires a coordinated application of many disciplines: physics, chemistry, mathematics, geology and chemical engineering.
