The U.S. and Canada Dependent Scholarship Program1 offers four-year college and university scholarships valued at $16,000 USD to dependent children of eligible:

  • Employees and retirees of ConocoPhillips Company
  • Employees of ConocoPhillips Canada Resources Corp.
  • and their respective subsidiary companies

The Program awards up to 60 four-year scholarships for higher education at an accredited institution of higher learning. The scholarship award is $16,000 USD each, payable in annual installments of $4,000 USD over four years. By law, no more than 25 percent of eligible applications submitted for a scholarship, up to a maximum of 60 scholarships per year, are awarded. The criteria used to select scholarship winners are academic excellence, financial need and community service.

Applications must be submitted online at Scholarship America between January and February of the student's senior year of high school. The program is conducted annually and administered by Scholarship America, Inc., an independent, external, third-party.

1 Effective Jan, 1, 2020, the new U.S. and Canada Dependent Scholarship Program replaces the former U.S. Dependent Scholarship Program and Canada Children of Employees Centennial Scholarship Program. Prior scholarship award winners from both programs will continue to be honored and are not impacted by these changes.
