In an effort to encourage employee participation in the political process, ConocoPhillips hosted a number of "Get Out the Vote" events at company facilities before the 2008 elections.
The video above showcases the Houston event, held on October 22. All candidates for featured races (state and federal races for offices that represent ConocoPhillips employees) were invited to attend and talk directly to the employee voters. ConocoPhillips did not endorse any of the candidates, nor suggest to employees how to vote.
