Membership Information
Members of the Community Advisory Panel (CAP) represent private citizens, local business people, local government, educators, students and community service organizations, and are committed to the exchange of information within these groups. Approximately 13 citizen members and 8 company members serve, with an average meeting attendance of 15.

Long Term Goal
The mission of the Lake Charles CAP is to establish and maintain a dialogue between the community and ConocoPhillips in order to understand community issues in an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.

Recent Accomplishments
  • Provided input on ConocoPhillips Risk Management Provisions plan that resulted in a better understanding of the community's expectations concerning the company's emergency notifications system. 
  • Increased focus on safety flares and odor control.
  • Review of new project emissions and citing issues.
  • Involvement with EPA/ConocoPhillips spill exercise, during which CAP members provided useful feedback on emergency preparedness.

Meeting Schedule
Regular meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month in the late afternoon.
