BARTLESVILLE, OKLAHOMA WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS
ConocoPhillips and the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project continued their effort to educate teachers about energy at their energy workshop in Bartlesville, Okla. on September 17. More thank 40 K-12 teachers from the region participated in the day-long workshop that supplied teachers with energy information, curriculum materials and science kits.
NEED’s energy education trainer Melanie Harper taught teachers about different forms of energy, the importance of conservation and the energy industry. Teachers conducted hands-on experiments and took home energy information, curriculum materials and science kits to use in their classes and share with colleagues.
The Bartlesville workshop was the sixteenth of 24 planned in 2008, in an effort by ConocoPhillips and NEED to help teachers educate their students about energy.
