Conversation on Energy Overview

ConocoPhillips believes it’s up to today’s energy leaders to set the stage for tomorrow’s energy solutions, from alternatives like renewable fuels to traditional sources like oil and gas. To better understand the public’s view on energy issues and to share information on what ConocoPhillips is doing to address those issues, the company hosted town hall meetings and community events in cities big and small across America, and brought together energy experts and concerned citizens to discuss ways to secure our energy future.

In 2007, ConocoPhillips completed its nationwide city tour. The tour consisted of town hall meetings and community events in which the company engaged area residents and energy users, and local community and business leaders, in discussion on energy solutions that are reliable, available and environmentally friendly. Local citizens were invited to ask questions and offer suggestions, while discussing supply/demand issues and energy alternatives with industry experts.

These conversations on energy were the first steps in a dialogue needed to address today's energy challenges.
