Approximately 150 residents from communities throughout Texas gathered in San Antonio on Thursday, Nov. 8, to discuss the state’s and nation’s energy future. Co-hosted by ConocoPhillips and The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) College of Engineering, the town hall meeting provided a venue for residents to share views on energy issues and gain insight and information from a panel of experts. This event was the 32nd stop on ConocoPhillips’ nationwide listening tour.
Bob Ridge, vice president of Health, Safety and Environment, and Colette Reynolds, manager, Non-Conventional Gas, represented ConocoPhillips. Other panelists included Dr. Stathis Michaelides, chair, department of Mechanical Engineering, UTSA; Robert Potts, president, Dixon Water Foundation; and Dr. Dianne Rahm, professor, Public Administration and author, UTSA. The meeting was moderated by A.J. Rodriguez, president and CEO, San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
