The city of Reno, Nev., responded with great enthusiasm to ConocoPhillips' invitation to a town hall meeting to discuss energy and environmental issues. More than 350 residents of Reno and surrounding areas gathered for 'A Town Hall Meeting: A Conversation on Energy', co-hosted by ConocoPhillips and the Desert Research Institute on Jan. 17, 2007.
Panelists included representatives from the Nature Conservancy of Nevada, the Nevada Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Task Force, the Nevada Motor Transport Association along with ConocoPhillips. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Roger Jacobson, vice president for academic affairs at the Desert Research Institute.
