New ConocoPhillips Fleet Card Drives Success

This is news concerning ConocoPhillips but issued by a ConocoPhillips business unit, ConocoPhillips U.S. Marketing, and is posted here for informational purposes.

HOUSTON, June 2, 2004 --- The new ConocoPhillips Fleet Card is now available to consumers at any Conoco®, Phillips 66®, or 76® branded location across the nation. The program marks a significant milestone in further enabling cross acceptance of ConocoPhillips' Company credit cards. Additionally, the program allows cardholders to manage their account online and pay for maintenance services at over 35,000 locations in all 50 states. The added benefit of acceptance at local maintenance locations separates ConocoPhillips' program from most other proprietary fleet cards.

The new card is a fuel and maintenance management tool that provides unprecedented control of all fleet fuel and maintenance expenses in one convenient and flexible program. Cardholders enjoy pay-at-the-pump savings and convenience, the ability to customize the program to their business needs and the expediency of managing their account online, 24 hours per day 7 days per week, via Online ControlSM, a Web-based service which enables real-time changes. To enhance protection against fraud, cardholders are given a PIN # or Driver ID#.

"To date, the switch to the new card has proven effective, generating a high number of new cardholder applications," said Mark Harper, president, for ConocoPhillips U.S. Marketing. "Bringing together three separate fleet programs in a quality manner shows the commitment of ConocoPhillips to maximize the strengths of the new company to the advantage of its customers."

ConocoPhillips is an integrated oil company with interests around the world. Headquartered in Houston, the company had approximately 37,200 employees and $84 billion of assets as of March 31, 2004. For more information, go to www.conocophillips.com.
