By applying these guidelines to our global facility signage, we can communicate a consistent visual message to our customers, employees and our stockholders.
Appropriate signage and location of the signage are best determined by specific site characteristics, traffic patterns, visual factors, etc. In general, however, only the critical information should appear on signs, and only essential signs should be erected. As signage needs and restrictions vary from place to place, the following guidelines must be maintained consistently:

- A minimum of 1x clear space around the ConocoPhillips logo, including the descriptor line (this only applies to signage).
- Facility or company name must adhere to the descriptor guidelines for typeface, size and placement of the descriptor under the ConocoPhillips logo.
- If no color or material restrictions are required from your building’s design codes*, the preferred color combination is black letters, red Mark (equivalent to PANTONE® 485 Coated) on a white background.
In many instances, it becomes impractical or inefficient to replace all existing signage at the same time. This system includes guidelines for retrofitting existing signage, as well as guidelines for new signage, when it becomes practical to implement.
If you need assistance with a specific question about these guidelines, you can contact ConocoPhillips Creative Services at Kevin.L.Bonny@conoco.com.
*Building or signage restrictions may prevent the use of a free-standing or monument signs at your specific location. In this instance, follow your building’s design codes.
