Logo Descriptors

When adding a division name, product or location to the ConocoPhillips logo, it must follow the identity standards below.

In most cases, the descriptor should align with the right edge of the logotype (see illustrations below.) The height of the lowercase “n” equals 1“X.” The distance from the baseline of the logotype to the baseline of the descriptor is 1.5“X.”

The descriptor is set in Helvetica Light. The height of the lowercase characters of the descriptor is .6“X.” When two lines are required in the descriptor, use no additional leading between the lines.

Descriptors can be translated to foreign languages as needed.

Our ConocoPhillips identity policy does not permit the creation of custom logos for programs, business units, departments or site locations. In those instances, the ConocoPhillips logo with a descriptor is the only approved format.

In most cases, the descriptor should align with the right edge of the logotype. The standard line length of the descriptor does not exceed the left edge of the “n” in ConocoPhillips. When two lines are required due to the length of the name, align on the left and make the longer line align with the right edge of the logotype. When two-line descriptor exceeds standard line length, align on the left with the “n” and allow the right side to fall accordingly. Descriptors
must not exceed two lines.
