The four principles that distinguish the SPIRIT Scholars Program are:
- These academic scholarships are available to sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students. Scholarship funding is maintained until anticipated graduation, provided all continuation requirements are achieved.
- The program provides additional financial support for enrichment programs and activities, including leadership development, professional meeting attendance and networking events.
- Mentoring opportunities provide the chance to build a relationship with a ConocoPhillips professional.
- The opportunity to be interviewed for internships and full-time employment at ConocoPhillips.
Participating institutions include the Colorado School of Mines, Kansas State University, Oklahoma State University, Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, the University of Oklahoma, the University of Texas and the University of Tulsa.
