Chemicals ConocoPhillips’ participates in the chemical sector through its 50 percent ownership in Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC (CPChem), a joint venture with Chevron Corporation. CPChem has interests in two major production facilities in Singapore.
The Plastics Compounding and Development Center is a research and technical facility, located in Tuas, that serves the specialty products segment and produces approximately 11 million pounds per year of Ryton® polyphenylene sulfide compounds. Additionally, Chevron Phillips Singapore Chemicals (Private) Limited, a joint venture located in Jurong Island, serves the olefins and polyolefins segment and produces approximately 860 million pounds per year of high-density polyethylene.
Commercial
One of ConocoPhillips’ four Commercial offices and commodity trading floors is housed in Singapore, where employees manage worldwide commodity supply, marketing and trading needs.
