Jeff Sheets

Jeff Sheets Senior Vice President, Planning & Strategy Jeff W. Sheets is senior vice president, Planning & Strategy, for ConocoPhillips. Sheets began his career as a process engineer in the North America division of exploration and production in 1980. He held various positions in that group until 1990 when he joined treasury as staff finance director. In 1993, he rejoined the exploration and production staff to become staff finance director in the Norway office. He served as commercial services manager for the company’s operations in Stavanger, Norway, from 1994 to 1997. He returned to the U.S. in 1998 as assistant treasurer, and was named vice president and treasurer in 2001. Sheets is on the board of directors of OIL Investment Corporation Limited, which manages investments for OIL Insurance Limited, a mutual insurance company owned by a wide range of energy and utility companies. Sheets was born in Bossier City, La., in 1958. In 1980, he earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri in Rolla, Mo. He received a masters in business administration from the University of Houston in 1989.
