ConocoPhillips’ supervisory curriculum has four programs that complement and build on each other to increase a supervisor’s knowledge, skills and effectiveness, as well as help them build networks with other supervisors.
- Supervisor’s Tool Kit – This program covers basic policies and people processes of which supervisors must be aware in order to execute their role in a responsible manner.
- Situational Leadership – Designed to help supervisors understand their leadership and communication styles, including active listening and proactive problem solving.
- Engagement Excellence for Supervisors – Designed to build strong, consistent supervisory skills across the company. A critical focus is on understanding the supervisor’s role in increasing employee productivity and engagement, along with conducting performance and development conversations. An overview of industry and company strategy is also covered to encourage supervisors to connect their employees’ goals to the company’s business strategy.
- Career Leadership Skills –This program builds supervisors’ knowledge of the ConocoPhillips career development process.
