ConocoPhillips is a partner in the Etzel Gas Lager (EGL) joint venture which has gas storage facilities at Etzel, Germany. The facilities consist of underground storage caverns, an above-ground gas handling plant and a pipeline connecting the storage facilities to the Emden gas terminal. The joint venture partners are ConocoPhillips, E.ON Ruhrgas, StatoilHydro and Total.
