Signature Environment

Controlling the environment, or surroundings, of the Conoco Capsule Signature is important to its proper use.

The Conoco Capsule Signature should have space around it so that it is distinct and the background does not appear to be part of the Conoco Capsule Signature. In other words, the Conoco Capsule Signature should have room to breathe.

Note: When applying these guidelines to outdoor advertising, displays or packaging, all minimum requirements can be further reduced by a maximum of 50 percent (e.g., 3"X" to 1 1/2"X"). These exceptions should be approved by a ConocoPhillips Visual Communications representative in Houston or Bartlesville.

Signature Clear Space
Clear space is the minimum area to be kept free of graphics, type or any other elements around the Conoco Capsule Signature. The outer dotted line in the diagram below represents the 2"X" minimum clear space boundary or distance to the edge of a printed piece.

Note: When the Capsule is inside a solid band, the clear space is also 2"X."

When Displayed With Other Symbols
The minimum clear space required when the Capsule is next to another symbol or signature is 3"X." The Conoco Capsule Signature is always above or to the left of other symbols or signatures.
