Accounting, Finance, Auditing and Tax

Your initial assignment may include exposure to the various finance positions in a centralized finance and accounting office or a regional business unit, you’ll be responsible for providing finance, accounting, business analysis, and decision support to operations and management. Typical duties could include:  

• Revenue, cost or investment accounting  
• Government reporting  
• Working with other companies on crude, gas or product imbalances and exchanges  
• Economic evaluations  
• Cash and earnings budgeting/forecasting  
• Management reporting  
• Accounting consolidations and analysis  
• Federal and state tax filing and compliance  
• Credit administration  
• Cash management and banking  
• Internal audit.

• Preparing remedial work and stimulation evaluations and procedures.  
• Providing engineering support during the field operations.  
• Production optimization.  
• Reservoir performance evaluations.  
• Facilities optimization and upgrades.  
• Identifying new drilling prospects.  
• Preparing drilling well plans.  
• Providing engineering support during drilling operations.

Refining, marketing and transportation engineers provide engineering for the company's Refining and Marketing organization. Depending on the area assigned, the focus may range from major capital project support to plant optimization. Capital project support includes:  

• Working on initial project development studies.  
• Developing process, civil, electrical/instrumentation, or mechanical engineering designs.  
• Assisting with project management activities.  
• Interfacing with vendors, contractors, and technical experts to ensure quality designs.  
• Identifying new ideas and innovative concepts for continuous improvement of designs and design practices.
