Exploration and Production
ConocoPhillips is Alaska’s largest oil and gas producer and the largest owner of state and federal exploration leases, with approximately 1.8 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2009. Approximately 0.8 million of those acres are in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A).
ConocoPhillips’ business in the U.S. Lower 48 is based on a diverse set of assets located in major basins from the Rocky Mountains to the Gulf of Mexico. In 2009, 487 net wells were completed, and an average 497,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day were produced from 21,389 net wells.
