Kevin Meyers is senior vice president, Exploration & Production – Americas, for ConocoPhillips.

Prior to assuming his current role, Meyers was president of ConocoPhillips Canada since late 2006. Previously, he had been president of ConocoPhillips Russia and Caspian Region, where he was responsible for exploration and production activities in the former Soviet Union and was the lead executive in Russia for the COP LUKOIL strategic alliance. Before assuming his Moscow-based role in 2004, Meyers was the president of ConocoPhillips Alaska, a role he had held since Conoco and Phillips merged in 2002.

Meyers began his career in 1980 working for ARCO at its Exploration and Production Technology center in Texas. In 1987, he transferred to Alaska, where he was responsible for reservoir engineering and field development for the West Sak, Kuparuk and Prudhoe Bay fields. In 1993, he moved to Midland, Texas, and assumed responsibility for ARCO’s Permian Basin operations. The following year, Meyers was named vice president of Engineering and Technology for ARCO’s International exploration and production operations. In 1996, he returned to Alaska as the senior vice president for Prudhoe Bay and in 1998, he became the president of ARCO Alaska. Meyers continued this role with Phillips Petroleum when BP purchased ARCO in 2000 and sold its Alaskan assets to Phillips.

A Pennsylvania native, Meyers has served on several boards, including LUKOIL and the Nature Conservancy of Alaska. He holds a doctorate degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and mathematics from Capital University in Ohio.
