Kevin J. Mitchell is vice president, Exploration & Production - Strategy, Administration and Technical Services, for ConocoPhillips.
Mitchell joined the company in 1991 as an accountant in the Aberdeen, Scotland office. He held a variety of positions in that office before transferring to corporate treasury in Houston, Texas, in 1998. After 18 months in treasury, Mitchell transferred to the Refining and Marketing (R&M) business and was responsible for financial analysis and reporting for the global R&M business. In 2004, he was named manager of Internal Reporting in Controllers, also in Houston, Texas. In 2005, Mitchell was named manager of Treasury Services in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He then served as vice president, finance and administration for ConocoPhillips Alaska. Before being named to his current role in May 2009, Mitchell was general manager of upstream finance, strategy and planning.
Educated in the United Kingdom, Mitchell is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
