Sheila Feldman is vice president, human resources for ConocoPhillips.

Feldman has over 30 years experience in human resource roles, which include the oversight of compensation, benefits, succession planning, organizational and leadership development, training, performance management, staffing, employee relations, acquisition integration, and start up and staffing of non-US entities.

Before assuming her role with ConocoPhillips in May 2012, Feldman served as the vice president, human resources for Arch Coal since 2003. Prior to joining Arch Coal, she served as vice president, human resources with SolutiaInc., the chemical company that spun off from Monsanto Company in 1997. Prior to the spin-off, Feldman was director, human resources with Monsanto from 1991 to 1997.

She began her career with Gould, Inc. as a human resources manager in 1979 and later worked in human resources with Emerson Electric Company from 1981 to 1988 and Taco Bell, then a subsidiary of Pepsi, from 1988 to 1991.

Feldman earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and HR management from the University of Maryland in 1976 and a master’s degree in public affairs and HR management from the University of Wisconsin in 1977.
